1. No warranty, express or implied
Every refurbished unit sold by ITRefurb is sold as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This applies to every product, every order, every brand, and every listing — including on-request and bulk orders.
The cosmetic grade certificate and the 5-step QC summary on each product page are the authoritative description of the unit's condition at the time of listing. They are not, and do not constitute, a warranty.
2. What this means in practice
- Hardware defects after delivery are not covered. A failed component after the unit leaves our bench is the buyer's responsibility to repair, replace, or live with.
- Cosmetic condition is graded, not promised. Each unit carries an A / B / C grade based on its visible wear at the time of listing. That grade describes the unit on the day we list it; minor variations between the photo and the unit you receive do not constitute a defect.
- Software and operating-system issues are not covered.Driver conflicts, malware, accidental data loss, and BIOS / firmware changes after delivery are the buyer's responsibility.
- Consumables degrade. Laptop batteries, keyboard backlights, fan bearings, and similar wear parts lose capacity / change behaviour with use; this is normal wear, not a defect.
- Accidental damage is not covered. Drops, spills, surges, third-party repairs, and any modification we did not perform void any post-purchase support we may voluntarily offer.
3. How we still support you
We don't run a warranty desk, but we do run a WhatsApp conversation. After purchase, you can reach us any time for:
- Remote troubleshooting (drivers, BIOS, OS, network, peripherals).
- Replacement-part sourcing at cost — we share our supplier contacts and sell compatible parts at our own cost when we have them in stock.
- Local service-partner referrals in major Indian cities for out-of-band repairs.
- Re-listing help if you decide to resell the unit within the first 90 days.
None of the above is a warranty. They're services we offer as a matter of professional practice — for as long as we stock the line and have a relationship with the manufacturer.
4. Why we sell as-is
Refurbished IT is a price-conscious market. The 5-step QC and the cosmetic grade on each listing let you assess the exact condition of the unit you're buying before you pay. That documentation is what backs the price — and it's why our prices are typically 40-60% below new equivalent hardware. A warranty, by contrast, is an insurance product that prices in projected failure rates and admin overhead; it would push our prices up and out of the value band our buyers shop in.
Buyers who want warranty coverage should source it separately from a third-party IT asset insurance provider — message us on WhatsApp and we'll share the contacts we know.
5. Consumer rights
This as-is policy operates in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (including the right to a refund / replacement for goods that are defective, not as described, or not fit for purpose) and any equivalent state-level consumer law. If you have a complaint we can't resolve through normal WhatsApp support, contact our Grievance Officer.
6. Listing overrides
The product page is the authoritative source of truth for any given listing. If anything on this page ever contradicts a per-listing note from our admin team, the per-listing note wins — but it can never create or extend a warranty, because the site offers none.
